Arctic Shock or HydroBlitz
I have the option of the new CPS Arctic Shock or HydroBlitz, Money doesn't matter, because I could buy the backpack with the Arctic Shock for the same price as the Hydroblitz. I had a Flash Flood that broke and I liked it a lot. And I learned that the new Flash Flood has the same nozzle on top got me thinking. Thanks

EDIT: Never mind then.
It appears to me that the hydro blitz gets a bit better range. I don't have much experience with the new guns (2006 and 07), but it appears a bit better built. It's also a BIG gun, just a warning.

Eh, if you emailed them they'd send it to you without having you send the FF back. (then you could try to repair it) Anyways, get an Arctic Blast. The Arctic Shock is crap (requires a ton of pre-charging and has very low shot time yet without decent output), and the HydroBlitz is too big. (for the power it can deliver at least)
If money doesn't matter, have a look on ebay for some real soakers.

I would go with the Arctic Blast. The Hydroblitz does indeed shoot slighty farther [not enough to make a difference on the field of battle] with longer shot time, but the power is weak for its size and its practicality appears to be rather lacking. Longer shot time makes itself felt more in a soakfest than anything else, and even then, if you have long range you could tap anyway to keep your pressure up. If the enemy range is less, they'd be the only ones taking water and the only ones running out of pressure. Tap-pumping in a soakfest game type is not weird; it can be very smart in the right situations.
If does depend greatly on what you intend to use the gun for, though. The Hydroblitz most likely does not excel at mobile fast-action fighting. The Arctic Blast is probably decent for CQC, but since it is just a weaker Flash Flood, it won't function as well as a Flash Flood in similar roles. Also, both guns have the secondary burst. The Arctic Blast's secondary was given an 18 2/3x rating by iSoaker, which is pretty respectable for a modern stock soaker.
