pressure relief valve disabling

hi i have a cps 1500 super soaker and i can't figure out where to cut to disable the pressure relief valve if someone could help me out that would be great

May I ask why you want to cut the PRV? In itself, it's not a power mod, you won't get any improvements in perfomance. All it means is that you can do some heavy power mods from it (which I don't recommend on an already powerful and rare CPS).

As you have likely never modded a water gun before, start with a simpler mod on a easier to find gun. For example, you could attempt a PRV disabling on a modern water warriors gun. I you fail and screw up the gun, you lose $15. If you fail on this gun, you lose $30-$60. Also, get to know what everything in your gun is, why it's there, and what would happen if you broke it BEFORE you do anything to mod the gun.

First off, don't double post. It clutters the forum. Use the edit button instead.

A PRV disabling will not increase range in itself. You could try for nozzle optimization, but this gun probably is fairly close to its max potential. Remember, with a k-mod, you will lose shot time and possibly range, but increase stream speed.

I stated that the nozzles are pretty much already optimized. Pick up a BBT gun and mod that.

I would go for a light k-mod. 30-35 balloons on the pressure chamber, it probably won't do much for range (it'll add something like 5' at best), but it'll increase stream speed and output.

But, like atvan said, if it's your first experience with modding, don't start with something as precious as a CPS 1500. Get a Super Soaker Hydro Cannon (tons of modding opportunities there) and go nuts.

A light k-mod (done without disabling the PRV) is a good choice for most spherical PC CPS's. You'll have to test as each PRV is different, but most light k-mods go from 30 to 45 balloons. This'll give a good power boost without much risk of damaging anything from the blaster.

I don't think it's that bad. A light K-mod is pretty easy even for beginners as long as you're aware of what's going on in the water blaster. There's not really any mods worth doing for the WW's anyway.

I always avoid heavy K-mods that involve PRV removal. Gives no chance for anything crazy to happen such as damaging the PC case.
