Re: My APH/CPH
zeda, I did get a range of about 35ft. I don't see how the rubber tubing is meant to prevent backflow. Could you elaborate?
Killi101, I wouldn't mind a range of 35ft if it had more shot time. It has a shot time of about a second, because the bike tubing doesn't expand much and so doesn't hold much water.

The tubing has a sort of one way valve in it, and the gas cannot flow backwards through the tube. This is to prevent large explosions, which could be slightly hazardous to your health. I'm not at all sure if it will store pressure, but it might.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Quack damn you.

Re: My APH/CPH
I am using a silicon tube as PC, it expands about 5x, provides nice pressure, stable, and it grew in lengh and high. In fact it just does the same as the original tube. If you want I can make some pictures of this. Power is the same but not more, 40-50 feets maximum, may that is the only think it is lacking. On the other hand the tube is cheap, I have got 10 metres of this tube at home just for bulding CPHs

Re: My APH/CPH
I am using my CPH more than half a year now and it has not lost any range or output. It is a question of how far you go. A steel spring will last for many years if never overstretched and that is the same with rubber. Do not stretch the silicon tube too much and it will last for years...not forever but a long time . And when it breaks down, ok, just replace it by a new tube...cheap and effectiv

Re: My APH/CPH
I didn't use a tubing barb - I used a 15mm female to female connector. I sanded down the thread a bit on one end (it looked sharp, but I still wanted it to grip the bike tubing).
To find a tubing barb, look on online DIY/plumbing sites like Toolstation
