If you look at post #12 (it took me a while how to do that hash on a dell mini with mac on it), you can see that I was talking about an all-PVC pump (other than the O-ring).

I knew you were going to say that about the last part of my post. I didn't really know how to explain it.

When you pump water into the front of the piston chamber, to be able to do that with a large pump, you'll need to open the air valve at the back to stop pressure building up. With that large pump, it'll be really hard to pump against any pressure at all.
If you had a smaller pump, you'd have to do more pumping, but it would be much easier to pump, and you wouldn't have to open the air valve to let the air out while you pump.

wait...1/2 fits into 3/4?

EDIT: not for schedule 40. i just checked. and also, i see your point about the large pump now.

EDIT (again): however, 3/4 does fit into 1 1/4 okay. as does 1/2 into 1

Sounds good.
If you use a schrader valve to attach the bike pump, you'd have the option of topping the air up with an air compressor.

The thin ones, because they have a 1" outer diameter.

Sorry I don't know much about PVC.
Get the bigger ones then
I think the only problem you might have is fitting the o-ring onto the pump rod.

actually, it works out fine, because the waterzooka manual teaches you how

a coupler and a cap, and im prob gonna use both o-rings, for redundancy

EDIT: i still need a name

i like MSC2-10 the best. thanks. and also, do you know if the length of the piston pipe is related to the performance of the gun at all? aka will it be harder to pump if the piston pipe is shorter?

EDIT: question got answered. and the MSC2-10 Mk 1 will be made soon, now that all the details have been thought through.

PVC doesn't seal well, and you will need to include an o-ring or something of the sort to form a good seal.

I would stick to 3/4" or 1/2" pump chamber, and then a smaller pvc pipe with 3 o-rings of appropriate size to form a superb seal.

i am going to use o-rings. 2, actually. plus, i dont have smaller pvc where i am, so yea. at least i dont think. 1/2 and 1 inch should be good enough.

That will be way too big of a gap for an o-ring to seal nicely, unless it happens to be 1/2 an inch thick.
