XP110 Help

Post by Kimura » Sun Mar 14, 2010 3:03 am

Well I've got the Flash Flood working again, so now it's time time to tackle the XP110.

When you pump it, water shoots out.

Took it apart, which was easy (wish they all were). And inspected the trigger valve. It doesn't seem to return to the close position. If i press it firmly closed it'll hold pressure, but if I let go of it the valve will open back up. I'm sure this is a common problem, I just haven't been looking for the right key words in the search or something.

Your spring might be slightly worn out. I would reccomend taking apart the valve and putting it back together with the trigger set in the closed position. This should help.

I had an identical problem with my 110 and used two rubber bands to hold the nozzle valve closed properly...Now I just need to find the time to fix up the remaining leaks around the piping with epoxy. Good luck, 110s are great!

Yeah the rubber band fix always works in this common situation. Fit a rubber band around the firing chamber, or anywhere you can get it where it'll be infront of the pin, then make sure theres tension on it and fit it over the head of the pin facing back from the nozzle. You might want to seal it in place with epoxy or a dab of superglue etc. That should fix it right up. Alternatively you could try to slick up the actual metal pin by pulling it out and applying some kind of lubricant thats safe on plastic. Maybe vaseline or mineral oil, I'm told WD40 isnt good for soakers.

Thanks guys. Rubber band trick worked like a charm. It's back in action. :)

I'll have to glue the rubber band in place later, but for now it's fine.

I forgot just how good the real Super Soakers are, it shoots even further than the WW Lightning I have!
