2700 bulb removal?

Post by VAJMH » Fri Mar 12, 2010 7:52 am

So, exactly how does one go about removing the stupid translucent bulb from the nozzle of the 2700? I guess you might call it a soaker circumsision lol. But I'm getting one in the mail soon, and dont want to mess it up muddling around with such an important part. Has anyone here done this before?

They're easy to remove. You can remove them by squeezing them and pulling them off.

Thanks Ben, I was worried there was a secret to it. But at least now people will know they can fix up a 2700 without a lot of expertise if they want to buy one.

Just like you said, I popped it off with no troubles. It took me hours to paint the gun though! Way too much styling on it in my opinion, but it has the biggest reservoir of any non-backpack soaker I've ever seen! I did a red black and silver color scheme like my Monster X and it looks pretty good. The original red body is still a little bright for my tastes, but still nice. Pics to come.

Sounds awesome!
I can't wait to see it. As a side note, were there any clamps attaching the bladder to the gun?

The clamping for CPS's uses plastic and screws but for spherical blasters, only the PC case gets clamped on, along with a bit of pipe that connects to the bladder permanently. However, this small pipe seals with the rest of the gun by O-rings alone, relying on the casing to hold the PC in place and prevent it from turning into a rocket. Cylinderical PC's are held on the internals though.
