We use simple spray paint with a coat of lacquer [Sp?]. Lacquer protects the paint from chipping and also gives it a nice gloss. We don't sand or primer, the paint sticks well enough. The paint dries in about 15 mins, and the lacquer dries in about 15 mins as well. The whole process only takes a little more than half an hour.

<EDIT>
I'd wait for someone like Nibordude or Duxburian to post something, their painted guns in our gallery are some of the best I've seen. Just go through the next few pictures to see them all.

We had more pics of more painted guns, but they got erased from Nibordude's digital camera, so we need to retake them if you want to see more.

do you use spray paint or usual paintbrush paint?

Does putting a piece of PVC pipe on the end of the nozzle increase range? as shown on the first picture of this thread

No, he only put that piece of PVC on to allow it to shoot Nerf darts. ;)

No, actually I found that extending the nozzle's length in any artificial manner may impede performance. In my Monster X's case, the sacrifice of performance was too substantial to make the "mod" worth it.
Whatever music you listen to probably sucks.

Heh, I just noticed that the post was in 2006. Still surprising anyhow since the paintjob turned out quite well.

I thoroughly modified two Arctic Blasts, and I painted them in camo.
