I think it should be 50, 100, or 150. I like 100 as its a nice round number. However 150 shows the special privledge a lot. Maybe it sould just be membersplus/supermembers? I Don't know.Originally posted by DoomSoaker@Jun 6 2004, 01:31 PM
I was just poking around in the Admin CP and found that I can make it so that you guys can have custom member titles yourself. Now you only need 200 posts to do it yourself.

The result of this is people might start posting non-productively just to get the privilege. The post number should be high enough that people can't BS their way up, but low enough that people can actually reach it.

Well, if people just put BS posts ban them for something like faulty posts. You could think of a better name I'm not that smart. Anyways, yeah just ban them or give out warnings, it'd probably keep people from doing it or cut the amount of people who do it down. Just an idea, doesn't have to be considered. ^_^

Erm...have you read the board guidelines? We're already punishing the worst offenders for things like spamming. :huh:Originally posted by ZookaForPrez@Aug 18 2004, 02:46 AM

Old topic, but it's pinned so I'll post.
This sounds interesting. I've generally ignored this "feedback" section so far - I'm only just getting around to using this section now.
To me 200 sounds sensible - most people that have made that many posts are sensible contributors.
I'm actually surprisingly close now. And as a bonus this post brings me that much closer.

What are members' titles, anyway? Is it really worth it? Sure, I'm posting quickly and I'll probably reach 200 posts soon, but I doubt I'll use the title-changing feature.
If some people are overly concerned with getting enough posts to change their titles, won't they just be posting junk to get more respect (not from me) anyway?
I don't see a point to this, and if what everybody says is true, it just allows ambition to get in the way of posting anyway. I am against title changing for this reason (yes, I know this isn't a poll), although this thread is old and probably disregarded.
