Concerning spam from our domain

I just opened my email to get 300+ bounced emails. A spammer is forging sscentral.org emails. We don't send spam, so don't send me a message about it. I probably won't even be able to read it through all the bounced messages I'm receiving.

How are they spoofing an sscentral.org address? Can you stop it, or do we just wait it out?

They're spoofing my email address. It's a very easy to do task because there's no verification stage in email. I could send email with any from address I want.
It's died down a little bit, but I'm still getting bounces. Hopefully it will end completely today.
There's nothing I can do to stop this aside from switching email addresses.
