if the power is the same, why is the 1700 better? It's more compact, but like more water. It may be ugly, but ill paint it. It may be worth $35 but for a NIB gun. I'm willing to pay $50. Its the only way ill get a good gun.

I would get the 1700, Ive heard somewhere that the range on the 2700 is not that good. It depends on how you plan to use your gun. Do not pay $50 for a 2700, as you could get a monster XL for the same price on ebay [someone has 4 and they are being sold via buy-it-now for only $50]. Also sometimes they sell really good guns at low prices at thrift stores. Hope that helps in some way.

ok umm basically everything you just said is untrue. the 2700 is FAR better than the monster xl. and unless you Don't have the guts to open up your soaker and mod it *coughduxburiancough* you can k-mod the 2700 into a m4d war machine! although you could do the same to the 1700, I believe the 2700 is more powerful to start with, thus you could get more power with less balloons. voila.

I'm not really concerned with the price, as there are a lot of lawns to be mowed in my area. I really wanted the 1700, but it is no longer available. I wanted to know if I should get the 2700, or wait for another 1700. From what I have heard so far. I'll get the 2700. I have huge plans.

[at]Neobird-remember that I am much a inexperienced user, I have little experience. Iv'e used a 1700 and liked it, but I Don't have a 2700. If I were Bluesmudge I would just get both the 1700 and the 2700 and k-mod them.
I never have any time to mod, hw and projects are still piling up.and unless you Don't have the guts to open up your soaker and mod it *coughduxburiancough* you can k-mod the 2700 into a m4d war machine!

I would get both if I had the money, and there was a 1700 still available.
