Lucky, I'm so sick of homework given for no apparent reason. Public schools my entire life, and it looks like it's going to be that way until collage when it isn't public...

Sure, I hate homework, but I'd rather be taught by teachers who really know their individual subjects and the system rather than from parents. You'll get farther with all the education and connections from school, and if you don't study in high school or college, then you'll be in major trouble. I never studied before high school, but I really need to now. Anyway, this is just a pointless topic that was brought up for no reason, so there's no need to complain.

No offence or any thing but it is very hard to know and pay attention to a whole class room.

EDIT by SilentGuy: I fixed your quote tags.

It isn't that hard to pay attention, though it does depend on who else is there. What do you mean by

There's nothing to apologize for, and I appreciate your opinions. The Charlottesville City Schools are one of the best, and I can easily imagine that things could get worse. I was just clearing up something that I was confused about, since I didn't understand the question.

I know this is old, Really old, but since I am homeschooled I had to, I wonder if anyone who posted in this forum are still here (meaning homeschoolers).
Also, I think homeschooling is very effective, I have been all my life. If I went to public school I would be a senior next year, but instead I now have finish high school and the first year of college is done. (Meaning 30 credits, since it took 5 months instead of a year)

As far as I know there have been a number of homeschoolers and advocates of homeschool here and at iSoaker.net over the past year or so. Not all of them are still active this year though.
