I don't think this topic really matters, it's pinned right? We should continue the discussion. B)
The rules aren't like that bad. The rules are the basic rules of nettiquette, no need to worry about them.
All I've done music-wise lately is helped some 2 guys in a band. They think I'm their bass player, not that I care. They've got some good songs written and I don't have a problem with them.

I play bass too. Right now I'm listening to Velvet Revolver, which is a band consisting of the bassist, guitarist, and drummer from Guns n' Roses (famous 80s band). Slash and some other guy are the two axemen. I bought a few CDs while I was in Ottawa two weeks ago:
Nirvana-The black album (greatest hits)
Finger Eleven-The greyest of blue skies
Alien Ant Farm-ANThology
EDIT-content and such

Guns and roses is an amazing band. But I remember them having a surprise performance on the MTV music awards and they said they were doing something, like making a new album or doing a new tour. Something like that. What ever happened to that?

I am very surprised to find that no one listens to rap/hip-hop! At my school thats all everyone listens to.
Jay-Z, Luda, Nelly, Usher, Petey Pablo, etc. etc.
Every rap/hip hop song is good! For all those who like metal/rock, switch to rap/hip hop its much better!
EDIT: I meant it to be Rap/Hip Hop - sorry

Sorry to say this, but rap isn't real music. For one thing, rock came way before rap. Another thing is that it actually takes talent to play rock music (guitars, REAL vocals, etc). I appreciate both styles, but I like rock better. And no one is going to switch because you say so.

Who gives a XPBackfire-esque what the difference is, the fact is that they both SUCK. Rock is the only good music. And not new XPBackfire-esque rock (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, big no no). I'm talkin' awesome rock like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, that kind of stuff. It's the most awesome music ever. The only awesome hip hop song is Tipsy, because the chorus sounds like "Errbody in the club get tipsy [only change the "p" sound in tipsy with a "t" sound, and you can't really hear the "y" in it, so...you get the picture]" Thats the only awesome hip hop song.

I had nothing against Rap and Hip Hop until they took over MTV 2 and now I never get to see my favorite bands! My girl friend gets so pissed off at Rap that if she hears it she just leaves the room. Im starting to be that way. I can't stand rap at all! Hip Hop is a little more managable.
Edit: Especially that song by "lil john" all he ever says is WHAT! YEAH! OK!
