Thanks for the new pic. I didn't know that on a CPS 2100 the PC is attached to the gun itself. That's what it looks like in the picture at least.

Doom, it's not attached to the case. The top yellow tube ornament actually has a tube inside it, while the 2 on the sdies have no moeaning other than to look good. The pc just looks like it's attached because the case has t o get a good grip on it.

I can't figure out how to get mine apart at all. The screws dooooont want to budge!

This is weird, I had no trouble at all getting my 2100 open. People say the biggest problem is the weird pump cap, I didn't think much of it and pried it off.

Try precision screwdrivers is all I can say. Some might recommend electric drills too, on a low speed high torque setting.

If not all the screws come out you can still mod the gun. just get as many out as possible and pull the internals out. The pump cap will come off after some patience, just keep trying!

This really depends on the soaker. Not the model, but the individual soaker. When being manufactured, the machine (or person) may put a lot of glue in one cap but just a bit in another. My Blazer's pump cap came off with no problem, but my MD2000's pump cap was Hasbro HQ to get off and I actually accidentally stabbed myself many times because I wasnt too careful...

What does the tube in the yellow part of the 2100 attach to? I don't have one, I'm just curious.

Fine, I will try to pry the pump cap on, but when I look the gray plastic of the enitre case is attached to the pump cap. In fact, it is the pump cap. The Pump cap is just a little shell on the of the plastic. Wait...does the entire thing come open in half, if you get the pump cap off? Also I noticed that the nozzle was a problem for me to get off. Can yall help?

The nozzle shouldn't be a problem on the 2100. It splits in half, there is nothing hard about opening it. Stick a big screwdriver under the side of the pump cap. You might want to try two. Get them deep in there, and pry it off. That's exactly how I did it.

Yes, I did read it and I was referring to the 2100! By individual soaker I mean this: say I have two cps 4100s (actually I do&#33

. One is one soaker, and one is another! Same thing, only with 2100s. I didn't know that the pump cap didn't have glue, but from experiance, most do.

I understand that each soaker is unique. But if there was ANY glue in the pump cap of the 2100, it wouldnt come off in the first place. You Don't even have to get the cap off in order to mod the gun. You can just grab the internals and take them out if youve been able to open enough of the casing.

I've discovered that taking off the pump cap to the 4100 and the 2100 isn't all that hard. The pump cap just looks intimidating.

well from one of my 4100s the pump cap was really easy to slip off. and the otehr one is glued tight. like I said, its the individual soakers.

It seems smaller/ cheaper guns have glued on pump caps. And larger one's snap on. And then there is the 1500/1700 that just screws on and off- thats the best.

By the way: This sounds stupid, but: what does the pump cap actually do?

now Don't go calling the 4100 cheap or you'll pay at school...with money! Hey, that's funny.. The pump cap is there to stop the pump from coming out of the soaker. a lot of the time it isnt even needed. it's just there to piss us off and to look cool.
