This may be a very basic question, but how do you add a strap to the Lightning? Please give a detailed reply.

Unfortunately, modifications aren't terribly cut-and-dried. The best advice is to drill holes near the edges of the plastic shell and loop a cord through the holes. Or hook up an actual strap.
