I suppose so. Just try not to saw into the actual nozzle casing. I haven't opened that type though so I don't know.
On my CPS 2100 I have modified the nozzle extensively. I don't have an image up, but I basically made it like my homemades, with a 3/4" threaded male adaptor functioning as a nozzle selector. What I meant when I said it looks easy was that it looks easier to mod the nozzle the way I did. Or maybe not, if it took hours.

No, that is XPS. http://www.sscentral.net/tech/mods/bpcxps.phpOriginally posted by Super Sonic@Aug 17 2004, 06:35 PM
I have a XP-270. If you look at it, it has an extra tank/ball resevoir thingie. I tried to put balloons in it so it would become like a CPS, is this k-modding?
K-modding is done over pre-existing CPS chambers.

Ijust finished my first mod on a mach 2 cps 2100 ( I figured if I'd mess up any cps let it be cheap...) Also I had the same problem with the nozzle but was able to pull the pc out
I also had two small ideas 1.sawing the screws out 2. using a screwdriver as a pump(you could make it so no one could use your water guns)

After consitant breaks and regluing and stuff like that, I came to the conclusion that the cps 2700 is not ment to hold more than 50 balloons on a K-mod. Doom was right. The power was so great that it broke every time I tried to fire it.
So, to all who wish to K-mod their 2700, Don't do more than 50 balloons. It'll save you a Hasbro HQ of a lot of time.

An mk3 is the easiest type of 2100 to mod. You don't need to reinforce much, just you might want to glue the pc in place after putting the balloons on and closing it up. Not too much glue, don't block anything, just a little on the inside of the valve that connects it to the nozzle. The range with an mk3 with 70 balloons should be about 52-58 ft. depending how much you pump/can pump it. You will have to stop pumping at a certain point [about 10-13 pumps] or the pressure will be too much and water will come "leaking" out of the pc. Don't worry about that though, as long as you don't overpump the gun it should work fine.
