I've never seen one before, but it doesn't look too fake. Either Super Soaker made a secret one, or some imposters did a fantastic job with it.

if you would copy a gun like that, company labels, stickers, even the strap looks like the real one, wouldn't you also use the same colors?

As unlikely as it is, let's hope it's a legit re-release! If hasbro were to re-release a model not too extreme and yet better than all of the competition, the 1700 would be it! They did it with the Max-D 6000, which was released not too long after the 1700...

Where did you find the pictures?

The colours are similar to the 2100, and a perfect match for the 1-3-5.

It could be a repaint, people do that, though I'm not sure who'd bother preserving the sticker. However, most probable I think is that this colour was country exclusive or perhaps store-exclusive. Certainly in more recent times Hasbro have given specific colourings to only one retailer.

If it were a re-release, I think it would have the new Super Soaker logo on it.

Interesting find though. I would also like to know where you found it. It could either be a prototype, a really good paintjob, or maybe a version that we somehow never discovered.

I LOVE IT! I always loved the paintjob of the 1-3-5, but the preformance was lacking. I also always liked the preformance of the 1500/1700, but didn't care for the coloring, especially on the 1700. This is so beatiful.
