Hi Y"all
I used to play in the water wars back in the mid 90's and I drug out my CPS 2000 and discovered that it is nonfunctional. I would like to repair it so I can use it again. I have my 8 year old son wanting to match up the latest offerings against my 2000. I have to prove that old age and treachery will overcome youth and energy

Welcome to SSCentral!
For us to know what the problem is, it's best if you open it up, take some pictures, and post them in the repairs section. Good luck repairing it, that's a very valuable soaker.

Sorry if I'm not active much, busy on another forum and another project non-soaker related.

Welcome.
At your son, lol. You could just stand still. Your range will be double his! Don't tell him that though.
Before you open the gun up, tell us what seems to be wrong with it, and then you can evaluate how difficult the repair will be. Post in the repair section, and you will likely have several experienced repairers ready to help within a day.

Thanks y'all ;
I will post pics tonight, I think the one way valve is inop. I opened it up and added water, nothing moved except the handle. No water was drawn out of the tank. I am using my droid to reply so the message is shortened.
I thank you for your time and patience.

I took a picture of the soaker, my apologies for the delay in posting. Work and cubscouts had to take priority. Here is the pic of the soaker on my work bench.
I thank you for your time.

If you think the check valve is the problem, please take a picture of that. It is towards the back of the gun.

Re: Hi Y"all
I don't see anything wrong with the pressure chamber, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you have an o-ring that slipped out of place. No suction from the pump means no water is drawn into it. Try looking into the space between the pump and the outer wall to see if the o-ring is in place or if it is tilted or missing.
Edit: Oh, and welcome to SSC!

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Quack damn you.

That would make sense too. Check the o-ring on the pump.
