Your forgetting that collectors will pay the price no matter what, as long as I get it. And real water gun lovers will probably just make their own gun thats better and cheaper anyway.

I have a 2000a2 and 2500 of a friend's that I haven't returned yet which I borrowed for a war last friday. The 2500's trigger has gone awry again and I'm going to fix it up, while the 2000 works fine but the trigger reinforcement I did was undone for some reason. (This also applies to the previous repair I made on the 2500; it was undone somehow and the trigger's messed up again.)

My friend stores these blasters in the garage, so I've decided to hold onto them until he asks for them back. Once their bladders rot, I'm definitely going to buy them out. (At a price I can afford.) He knows that they're fairly well valued (and leaves them in the garage during the winter anyways), but doesn't know much outside of that.

I'm still slightly wary of the bladders rotting out. They've lasted this long and seem well built to last longer but I suppose someday they have to go out even if they haven't been used. (Or perhaps especially if they haven't been used. Once this happens, I may end up buying all the broken-bladdered SS's I can possibly get my hands on. I've waited 5 years to have a Monster XL, SC Power Pak, and others, though perhaps I'm probably better off building my own Power Pak homemade as they are quite easy to make.

How many collectors are you going to get though? Once the season picks up you might get a slight rise in price, but it isn't a good year for selling.
