Super Soaker Central

After reading about nozzles and effective ranges, I'm wondering if there's any way to make a modular "masterkey". Nozzle selectors aren't very ergonomic, so it's nicer looking to have it. It would have to be VERY compact (I'm thinking PR) and has a riot blast. It should also be able to remove from the main gun and work on its own so it's modular. (should I start this as a thread?)

I don't understand you. Do you mean you want to make a compact PR gun that is charged by a larger parent gun? Like on the Triple Aggressor?

When doing a backpack mod on a stock water gun, do you have to drill a hole in the reservoir or just screw an adapter to the opening?
Also, are the reservoir openings the same sizes as adapters/couplers? Or do they use different measurements like PVC and CPVC?

Usually it's best to remove the original reservoir and connect the tubing where the reservoir used to be. You can also sometimes drill a hole in the reservoir cap and attach the tubing there, but I don't think that would work on quick-fill caps.

Is there anyway to remove the nozzle on a rattler without breaking it?

The Rattler isn't a very good gun, so we don't care much about its internals. You're probably the first one to open it.

That's exactly why I want to open it. I plan on converting it to CPS. Also, something's wrong with the pump so I need to get it opened. There appears to be a tab from each shell holding the nozzle on, but I can't get at it. I also don't want to destroy the tabs in case the conversion doesn't go through.

What does the "K" in "K-Mod" stand for? It's something I've always wondered, but never asked.

Thousand. After people K-mod, say a 1000, they call it the 10000, or 10k.

Although I knew that, it never makes sense to me. Your not multiplying by 1000, but by 10. Also, the cylindrical guns often get called *k, such as the 2k. Whatever.


For those with homemade experience: would a slightly smaller check valve limit flow substatially? I not, a cencept will be avalible soon.

Might be harder to pump, since the output and input are smaller.


I have something to ask: How good would an OPV be is it was made of a homemade check valve and just use a stronger spring, like a K26?

That would only be useful in a CPS design. In AP, the pumping would get too hard, or your arm too tired(with a tiny pump) to get to overpressure. Might work, maybe not.

Edit: Tada! A check valve with 60 psi cracking pressure. The website also has 40 psi, which might be better for weaker CPS guns. It won't tell you the price unless you make an account, but I would guess ~$15. Brass check valve + stronger spring.

When XN invented the K-mod, he added an extra "0" to the end of his 1200 to denote the huge power increase. Thus, a 12000 can be called a 12K. Using the K on cylindrical guns denotes a shortcut and not a modification (stock CPS 2000 == stock CPS 2K). C on the end of a cylindrical gun, however, is a colossus mod, but that is almost never used or performed. 10K, 12K, 15K, 17K, 21K, 27K, and 1-3-5K always refer to K-modded guns.

does someone know what kind of plastic super soakers are made of?
i know that the reservoir and air pcs are usually made out of PE or PP, but id like to know about the rest (mainly casing, nozzle, pump, etc.)
