Just look at Ben's Super CPS homemade guide. It shows product numbers to buy the right sized LRT on McMaster Carr and stuff. Bike tubes aren't really necessary when you do this, but I guess it would increase performance a little more. Look at the collosus guide in the modifications section.

Thanks, I've never came across those pages before. I'm going to look for LRT in Lowes today. I'm not sure if they carry it or not, but that's what I'm going to find out.

save yourself a trip, they don't carry it in any useful sizes.

Yeah you're right. They didn't have anything. It wasn't a wasted trip though, I just stopped by on the way to the gym.

I'm interested in trying to power mod small CPSs like the SC 500 and Aquapack Davistator. Has anyone ever tried doing that? If so, what were the results?

These blasters are not worth to make a big modification to my mind. In the end you get a 3 X:: stream instead of a 1-2 X::

The problem here is that if you really want to get power out of small Soakers it is often the best to replace PC, reservoir, often also ball valve and sometimes you have to drill nozzles out. It is very difficult to keep the gun's optical look, and it often ends up with a complet new gun with new performance and a new look.

Of course you can make small modifications, like nozzle-drill(just a little bit) or expanding PC colume from 200 ml to 300 ml... But to my mind, keep the smaler guns as they are and modify the big ones

You got a CPS 3000 and a Aqua devastor. Now you power mod the aqua devastor, get bigger backpack, bigger PC and may even a nozzle selector. In the end you can get(if all is done correctly and no problems came up) a kind of CPS 3000^^ But you do already have a CPS 3000...

I sometimes have skirmishes with small guns, and this time it is good to have usual small rifles without power mods But there is nothing to say against a power mod on big weapons

How long does it take for plumber's putty to dry? I removed the PRV on my Ultimate Renegade and put some plumber's putty into the holes. The container didn't say anything about how long until it dries, so I guessed 24 hours. Then I tried to dry fire it and after pumping it about 5 times and the putty popped off - and it was still wet.

You should better look up the dry-time on the internet or aks the seller. I know and also possess glues whitch need more than 48 hours...

Well it's been over 72 hours now and it's still not dry.

Is it epoxy putty, or something else? (Ie, are you sure you haven't got something that's meant to stay flexible?)

This: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-plumbers-putty.htm describes "plumber's putty", a different thing to epoxy putty, and according to it plumber's putty isn't meant to harden.

In that case, there's some wrong information on SSC. It said, "Epoxy putty, also known as Plumber's Epoxy or Plumber's Putty, blah blah blah..."

Great. Now what am I going to do with this tub of Plumber's Putty?

Throw it at somebody.
