Probably, but couldn't a heavy K-mod easily double the amount of force you need to apply?

The compactness of it is a plus, I like to run around, of course I can do that with a 2500 too. The shot time is better at least on mine compared to the 2500 I have used. The stream is more potent on the 1000 than the 2500, I never had much use for the 10x and 20x streams anyways, used up to much water to fast. But my experience might be flawed because when I look down the 2500 nozzle there seem to be a little inconsistently with the lamination straws, a few seem to be smashed a bit. So if that affects range the 1000 gets much better range. Cause the 2500 gets around 40ft right now, the 1000 around 47 ft.

It's the balance for me. The CPS 2500 is just less of an all-rounder. I have experience of using both and I'd definitely pick up my CPS 1000 in a war.

Well, if your 2500's streams are poorly laminated and lave only reached 40 feet, it's no wonder you prefer the 1000. Let me assure you, if you had a proper 2500 you would prefer it to the 1000.

While I'd nearly always prefer the 2500, the 1000 is a better choice when you need something compact and mobile. Since my fighting style isn't quite like that, I prefer the 2500. I almost never use 20x, only 5x and 10x, and I believe they get at least a few feet better range than my 10k and 12k.

Let's keep the discussion friendly here though.

Whoa, man, I don't want to get into a flame war. I'm just saying that if you had used a proper 2500 you'd probably prefer it to the 1000. It's such a cert, it's like if somebody has a Flash Flood and someone tells them that the power of the 2000 will blow them away and they don't believe them.

Use discretion while on these boards. I don't want to get into arguments, rather cooperate happily. Consider editing your post.

I actually also prefer the CPS 1000 over the CPS 2500. Reasons for preferring a particular blaster over another go far beyond just how a blaster performs. I hope you don't consider my water blaster experience too limited to make a personal preference call.

While you may prefer one blaster over another, you should not expect everyone to necessarily share the exact same reasoning or preferences as yourself. If that were the case, this world would be boring.

As for the "best stock watergun", well, that's simple: as I've stated before, it's the one *I* am using at the time! :p

Everyone has a right to an opinion, however I feel Elliott over-reacted in his response. What I originally meant to say and feel I failed to express properly in my earlier post is that the performance of the 2500 is so good that it is most unfortunate to have one that doesn't function to its best ability, and that Tyler would be extremely impressed with the 2500 had he used one of mint condition or similar.

Having used a CPS 1000, I can assure that its performance is stellar. What I was trying to get at was that it's just so powerful and shoots so far that it would be a shame to have one that doesn't work to its full potential. It was a mistake on my part to compare the 2500 to the 1000.

Read the thread more carefully please. (This goes for everyone.) Steelboot wasn't even referring to you. He was referring to Tyler - the person who said his 2500 was poorly laminated. Elliot, you never said anything of the sort, so it should have been clear steelboot wasn't even referring to you.

I have nothing more to say on the matter so have fun over-analysing that quote.
