Super Soaker Central

I read the marks guide for the Monster X supersoaker and it said that both Monster X marks perform equally, however on the review, it said that the later edition of the Monster X had better range. So is the second mark of the Monster X superior to the original one?

I remember reading that the later editions performed better but I haven't heard it very often. It's not unlikely that Drenchenator made some mistakes in the marks guide too. Maybe someone with both can clear this up so we make sure we have it right.
