I honestly don't think a soaker could be that powerful, maybe it is the most powerful soaker. But not powerful enough to cause injury! Come on it's shooting water not paintballs/bbs. 99% of the people that brag about the CPS 2000 haven't even used one! According to isoaker.com it gets a range of about 54 ft. My 1700 gets 44ft only 10ft less! These rumors have been exaggerated...thats my 2 cents <_<

ive used a 2000 mk 2, and I wasnt as impressed as I thought id be. It preformed much like my 2500 in range and power. Im sure the 2000 mk1 is better, but I can't tell because when I saw cloud, he didn't bring his with him...it might cause injury if someone shot another kid in the eye from point blank, but thats not likely to happen..

My cousin has a CPS 2000, but he did not take good care of it at all.....besides the fact that he had it lying at the bottom the pool over winter one year... :Hey, that's funny.: ...I still remember when my uncle first got it for him, when I got to his house he jumped outta nowhere and shot me in the chest, maybe 20 feet away, no sting, just very very wet....which brings me to this, why did they take the 2000 away?....it was powerful yes, but not powerful enough to cause any serious injury, I mean, look at some protestors getting blasted by firetrucks, they Don't seem to get very much hurt at all.....and yeah it would hurt being shot in the eye, but hey, theres a very slim chance someone is going to stand 5 feet away from you and aim for your eye...plus there are warnings on the box that say do not shoot people in the eyes

Dude, the 2000 is the strongest stock soaker. I've been hit with it and have used it before. It doesn't hurt or anything, but it has huge splashback at close range. Why they took it away, I have no exact idea. It wasn't dangerous, any CPS will mess you up if you get shot in the eye at close range.

Well, I think that just about any powerful water gun can hurt you at close range. But I don't think the CPS 2000 is that powerful. I've never seen one, but as Freakymist said, your shooting water, not paintballs or bb.s. Maybe that's why water guns were made. So that people don't hurt themselves.

Then why was it taken off the market?.....I doubt it was because no one was buying them

They don't make the monster xl any more do they? or the CPS 1000,1200,1500,1700,2500,2700,3000 or 3200 (or any of the SC's) My point is that they discontue blasters every 2 years. :winkwink:

in '96 they released the 2000 mk1
that was the powerful one
in '97 they rereleased it as the less powerful mk2 version.
this one is not as good... its like a 2500 with only a 20x nozzle.

as for the true power of the CPS-2000 its probalby not all everyone says it is... but a lotta peole who talk about it have never used one. I have 2. one has a burst pc... so that really sucks. But it is powerful... I see how it could take out an eye at point blank range... but I think you could with almost any other CPS gun. its range with its 20x well exeeds anything else I've ever used... (2500, 3200)

why it was taken off the market I Don't know... but I wish it hadent been =( cause it is still the most powerful water gun out there =D its worht having... but im would not pay big $$$ like some of the crazys out there for one
=P

Whoa, this is an old topic!

Anyway, the CPS 2000's power IS exaggerated to an extent. I know because I own one that is in fairly good condition and it does not perform nearly as well as I-soaker or E-bay would have you believe. I think my 2000 is a Mk. 2 and therefore may not be as powerful as the godly "Mk. 1", but...

My 2000 shoots about 39-42 feet flat AT MAX, so a Mk. 1 would at best (according to I-soaker) shoot 44-49 feet.

My 2000 COULD cause serious eye problems at point blank range, but only in some kind of freak accident could it actually cause an eye to POP OUT OF SOCKET...

The main advantage I've seen to using the 2000 in my limited experience is the monster splash that it creates when you hit a large enough target.

I've read almost all the reviews of the 2000 and one thing I want people to know is that I think you are better off owning a 2500 if your object is to fight in a water war because it has a much more reasonable setup for the nozzles and less of an aura of "danger" around it.
