im pretty sure he means the 2100 that mars is getting for him.

also can you edit one of the arctic blasts to say that its modded. (actually with mine and yours that make two modded artic blasts)

I haven't had a chance to say this yet, so welcome to the forums, gaision!

Well I should also add the 2 extra 2100's that arrived today. Mine is already K-Modded, makeing it the first K-Modded gun in ThunderWars. Now I hold the ThunderWars record for both the first K-Modded and Colossus modded guns.

storm, you know that the pressure can crack the pressure chamber when you K-mod it
then you have to replace it..... dosnt seem realy worth it considering the cost and avalibility

Gaison do you realise who you are talking to? No, K-Modding does not crack the PC but rather the valves surrounding it. Cracking the valves is a rare occurence on a new in box gun with only a moderate K-Mod. Plus the 2100 does have relatively strong internals.

Light and moderate Ks essentially last forever. No reinforcing or maintenance necessary. You can get away with up to 50 balloons on certain marks without needing to disable the PRV. You can't crack anything if your gun won't let you pump beyond the limit, though you'll get close to the limit in good marks. An MK1 2100, for example, probably has the PRV cut in when the bladder hits the PC walls. An MK 2 2100 probably has the PRV cut in when it reaches a certain pressure threshold. There's a big difference there, the former being awesome yet still safe.

Now with heavy mods it gets interesting. With 80 balloons, about 15 pumps will "explode" a 21K. The trigger valve goes BOOM. Cracks are most likely to be in the tube section leading to the valve or in the valve itself. However, heavy mods also put a lot of strain on the valve. If you don't believe that strain alone can kill a trigger valve, I've got about 5 or 6 to show ya.

You don't need to show us DX, I've heard quite enough of your silver chrome 2100

Easily quotable version: :D

"For the gun modders it's like a game of Greedy-Pigs. You can take the mod further and get more power, but at a certain point the valve will explode. Once the firing valve is broken the gun as you knew it is dead." - Marsglorious

Not exactly true as you can usually epoxy the valve shut again, using PUTTY (get the hint Mars)

yes, i have to say that an epoxy ADHESIVE is not as good as plumbers epoxy PUTTY.
(think warhammer, green stuff)
using araldyte is not such a good idea, though it is tough as nails when it comes t gluing to surfaces together, even the ones that the packaging says it cant glue

Rather than just outright removing the PRV, there must be a way to 'stiffen' it - ie increase the relief pressure, such that the situation is always like the first you describe. That would be safer.

That is an excellent idea. I think that I will look into that.
