This is a direct c/p of my post at SM. Thought you guys over here might find it interesting.
The AWAC D4 M1 is the large upgrade to the AWAC D3 M1. So large, I constituted it as a design change instead of just a Mk. change. It has exchangeable barrels, something I've wanted to do for a long time. Currently, it has a 3" by 2' barrel, so I can finally fire off some decent WBs. I switched the street elbows with 90 degree corners, and put the valve on top. My compression chamber increased in volume, though not significantly, and putting the valve on top produced a noticeablly sharper crack when fired, even at low pressures. Since it's kind of nasty outside right now, I'm going to wait until later in the week to test this thing's range and max power. I'll try and get more pics, then too. I used lots of primer, so the thing isn't exactly pretty, but it gets a whole lot prettier when you have it in your hands. That large thing that looks like a clump of duct tape is some old books I'm using as a barrel support, until a buy some decent wood.
Here's a pic of the whole cannon:

This water balloon launcher looks pretty good. I like how it has a solenoid instead of a ball valve. Ball valves are the worst choice for things like water balloon launchers. The solenoid should really help improve the overall range of the gun. Everyone seems to be building water balloon launchers with designs like this, but the solenoid really puts this a step above the others. Good work.
This probably is due to the high volume. The total amount of air is really what determines the overall power. If the volume is high, the pressure can be low and it still can be very powerful. My compression chamber increased in volume, though not significantly, and putting the valve on top produced a noticeablly sharper crack when fired, even at low pressures.
