Another picture of my beloved WBL. I think we're going to test it today.

I thought you tested it already? I like the picture, it makes it seem like the epitome of WBLs.

It comes close... ;)
There's only like 7 parts! Nibordude overstated the cost, I really think it costs less than $20.
pvc fittings: $3
metal ball valve: $15
Bike valve thingy and 3" pvc: $0
Simple, effective, and cheap WBL as the result: Priceless :Hey, that's funny.:

We were going to test it yesterday, and we were going to test it today. Neither happened. Yesterday our friend Ivan wasn't able to come over, and today we got lazy. We also need to get water balloons and good quality ones.

Yeah. Actually today Ivan was in New York but whatever. The problem we're having is the fact that neither of us have bike pumps. I might go to the local bike shop tomorrow, if it's open, and get one. I think when we first pumped it we put maybe 40 PSI in it. And then when the um... orange incedent occured, we pumped 60 PSI into it. And yes, this WBL is priceless. ^_^

Imagine mounting one of these on a swivel turret and attach it to the back of a pickup truck during a huge war! Too bad it takes lots of effort to load it.

Nope. Loading it is pretty simple really. Infact, This is all I do from loading to firing.

1) Push the water balloon down the barrel
2) Pump up the pressure chamber
3) Release the air

Not too hard. :D

No packing before you fire? Must be some strong high quality balloons you are using then.

Do you even lube the barrel?

I was gone when Nibor first tested it, but I know that those above 3 steps are all he did. No "lubing," "packing," or any other of that kind of stuff. Just plain load, pressurize, and fire. It is probably the most simple WBL ever made. Most people say that WBL's are impractical for use in battle, but I could see douchinator-style WBL's being very effective in battle. We plan to make 3 more from my leftover pvc. Unfortunately we probably can't do any more testing today either, an ungodly amount of rain just fell.

Rain and a lack of people to be there shouldn't stop you from shooting it once and seeing how far it goes. That's all we want--how far it can launch a WB.

You could just fire it out of your window or something.

We would need the bike pump. Our friend Ivan has it so we can't shoot it without him. And this is suburban New Jersey, if we shot it out the window we would hit someone's house, no matter which window. We are going to test it with a water balloon at one of the parks.
