When I said "output," I was mostly referring to the size of the stream.
The Max-D 2000 is probably better - I remember getting one when I was seven or something and I was amazed by its power. (of course, that could be because the only thing I knew before Super Soakers were squirt guns. This is also why I thought soakers related to the Max-D 2000 were "regular" super soakers.)

Re: Mini APH Leftovers
My Max-D 2k has been up for 2 years and a pair of 3000's working for 3 years. (except one of my 3000's broke from the pump; easy as epoxying it back together; trigger still holds) Nonetheless, I still don't like the Max-D mech, but it probably allows for larger ball valves and thus superior performance to BBT's sidearms.

My MD6K is 2 years old, and counting. I usually use it as a sidearm for my tiger shark or vanquisher.
I really feel that the MD triggers on the original line were sturdier than the flash flood triggers.

Re: Mini APH Leftovers
The FF's flood trigger tends to work fine if lubricated properly once in a while. As for the main trigger, the spring is likely to snap apart from rust but it's easy to de-Max-D the trigger by disassembling the mechanisms and using rubber bands. However, such a trigger requires some adjustment and experimentation and I have yet to test mine for reliability and usability in a war.
I've heard horror stories on the MD6k though that may just be incorrect memory. Mine is holding up fine though.
One main reason I might not have had problems with most Max-D triggers is because those blasters don't get used a whole lot now since the CPS's are much more practical to use in our wars.
