Hi guys not sure what to do with this gun has been sat in the garage for a while so was just going to eBay it. Thought i would research it for the advertisement and bought me to this site, i just want to say an awesome site.

When i was younger i always wanted the best possible super soaker i did have the xps 105 or 107, it was awesome i saved my money went to toys r us and it was between the cps 3000 and the monster xl, went home with the monster xl which cost me £50. i was a very happy boy !

Now it being neglected and i have no need for it i do want to sell it, unfortunately it has faded in the sunlight inside the garage, other than that it all works and i should be able to find the quick pump water hose attachment. It also comes with the original box.

Can anyone give me a price guide?

Located in the united kingdom, in kent.

Sorry for just coming on and offering something for sale and not being a commited member to a forum i know how frustrating it can be for some.

If this is not apporiate can the mods please delete.

Thanks Chris

Welcome to SSC Chris, always good to see another UK member.

You might like to indicate whether the version is the original MXL or the later (slightly shorter) edition. Posting a picture would show which is the case.

Postage can sometimes be a problem but can often be managed at a pinch; there are a good number of couriers that do discounted rates. Since you live in Kent I think you'll need to be prepared to post it, as it's a long way for anyone outside the county to travel.

Enjoy your stay here.

By the way, I'm going to move this into the "Offered" forum. ;)

If I had the money I'd buy it, and I could probably collect it... but sadly (for me at least) I don't.
It should sell on eBay for at least £70, if not more.

Thanks Fred !

didn't know it was worth so much, how comes its worth this sort of money, and do you know if this is version 1 or 2.

It does have a few scratches etc.

If no ones really interested on here, i shall wack it on eBay,

The Monster XL is the biggest Super Soaker ever made. As such it gets crazy high prices. And you have the original, slightly bigger, model.

For postage, wrap it in brown paper, perhaps with some stuffing in the front for extra protection. Take it to the post office and ask to send it Standard Parcels. It should be £9.58, or for £13.99 you can get compensation up to £250 if it's lost or damaged in transit.

I'd love the blaster, but I really can't justify the money it's worth.

to be honest when i was 9 or 10 years old i think i was crazy to spend £50 on a water pistol but to be fair i had alot and i mean alot of mates with super soakers it was used very well !

It made me very strong as when i was that age i found the stand very useful, it was awesome !

Hey, what other soakers do you have in the shed? You might have some others that could be worth money as well, or ones that are great in battles.

Now sure what other soakers i have in the shed pretty sure i have a xps 105, two little super soakers and a grey long one cps something.

Looks like not many are really interested on here for the monster, think im going to have to eBay it and sell it for whatever it sells for...

A grey long CPS? That's probably gonna be either a 2000 or a 2500. If it's a 2000 (single nozzle) that's the most powerful blaster made and could fetch nearly as much as the Monster XL. If it's a 2500 (nozzle selector) that's not as powerful but still one of the absolute classic Super Soakers.

if its grey and red its a 2500 but grey and purple is the 2000. could also be grey and green which is a 1500...
\
By the way, put this thing in a box. do not wrap it in paper. the package needs to be protected as does the gun. to that end, turn it around, its in the packaging wrong and the handle should insert into the other slot. oh and see if you can find the orange QFD this should have come with.\
\
Do a search on ebay for monster XLs to see the price, but if I were you I'd start low and let people bid it up, rather than a ridiculous buy it now price like soem favor.

Yeah, on second looks the original box is too lightweight for posting really.
Finding a corrugated box that's a good size for the blaster may, however, be tricky.

You can take two normal boxes and tape them together at the open end, thats what I find usually works.
