cheap CPS 2100 mark 1

Post by Anthony » Tue Jul 03, 2007 7:24 pm

I was wondering if anyone had a cheap CPS 2100 mark one. I think I read somewhere that that was the best kind of 2100. Also what is the difference between a mark 1,2, and 3.

I believe the mkII is the one where the nozzle cap and pump caps are glued on (which is the one I have), making it more of a pain to open up. I've also had problems with my 2100's PRV, it can't really take many balloons needed for K-modding. I believe the mkI and mkIII have nozzle caps and pump caps that thread off.

Mark 1 CPS 2100's are extraordinarily rare. Very few have ever been found.

MK I: Has a small seam at the back of the reservoir, pump cap is not glued, nozzle cover opens naturally when the gun is opened. The nozzle itself can unscrew. Most powerful type of 2100, both stock and modded.

Mk II: Has a small seam at the back of the reservoir, pump cap is glued, nozzle cover does not open naturally when the gun is opened. The nozzle itself does not unscrew. The screws and stickers may also be on the user's side, though that does not automatically indicate mark 2. Decent stock power, not a good choice to mod.

MK III: Has flat, rectangular ridges on the back of the reservoir, pump cap is not glued, nozzle cover opens naturally when the gun is opened. The nozzle itself can unscrew. Weakest and overwhelmingly the most common type of 2100, but easy to mod.

I never realized it, but my CPS 2100 must be a freak of nature. It is not any of the three known marks. There were no square ridges on the reservoir. The nozzle unscrews. The pump cap was glued on. Perhaps there is an mark 4 that is even rarer than any of the others.
