one repair down, two to go :)

my recently rediscovered (or newborn, dont know for sure ;) ) cps 1500 seams to be leaking. ive taken it apart, which was quite a pain in the butt as nozzle cap just wouldnt come off. now that ive succeeded, i discovered that it seems to be leaking from the hole for the trigger pin, but only when i pull the trigger.

does somebody have an idea how to fix this (im guessing that i have to take apart the nozzle valve casing again, yay)?

Seal is probably off or warped inside the valve.

Have fun opening another pull valve. At least you will be experienced.

i already got it apart. its a white one, so i only had to unscrew the screws and as soon as i put the box knife in the seam, it popped open.

Nice. What was the problem? Is there some sort of O ring in the back of the valve to seal the rod?

Maybe that is your problem. It is odd that it is only when you pull the trigger. I would think it would be the ther way around. Maybe there is a small crack in the pin. Check it very carefully.

it seems there is some kind of "sealing tube" around the rod inside the hole, and the water sprays from a gap between tube and plastic. sometimes when i push the rod up a little it wont leak.

Try fitting your own "sealing tube" in the form of a replacement o-ring right at the end of the plastic, around the trigger rod. Epoxy the o-ring to the end of the trigger and you should have no more leaking problems.

i think i kind of repaired it.
what should i use to completely seal the pull valve chamber again?
the screws seem to keep it together but after a few pumps it starts to leak a little.
i dont want to use epoxy, because i may want to open it again some time in the future

A very, very thin bead of RTV silicone will work well.

In fact there is a very small o-ring on the pin on the inner side. THis pin is pushed back by the big spring, which closes the valve on the one hand but also holds the small o-ring in places to seal the pin.

If this is not seal you can replace the small o-ring by a new one, or install another, a bit smaller o-ring just in fron of the original one to get a better seal. You can also install a STRONGER spring inside the chamber. More force on the o-ring will also stop it from leaking(in case the o-ring is ok and not ruined)
CLeaning the whole thing is also a good idea as there is dirt and other unnecessary things dumped over the years of using.

Try all this, be careful with using glue to not stuck the pin^^

THe fact that water is coming from the pin when the trigger is pulled can also mean that the "trigger-mechanism" is not straight anymore. My the metal stab that connects the trigger with the valve is courved a little or not on it's way, may it is out of it's direction ? The stab can be shaped with a little force, may this solve the problem too.

This is all you can do, I managed to get every pin-leaking solved and seal again, any of these tips wil help :)

Good luck!
