How could the Xbox be for true gamers if it has only released ONE console? Nonsense. Nintendo has released 5 consoles-- 11 if you count the Gameboys/Nintendo DS. Nintendo knows what their doing-- I'll even give Sony that one.
Heh, Xbox is by the "Blue Screen Of Death" company, Microsoft. Microsoft skimped on the Xbox, seeing as the Xbox is a PC with a fancy case and can be modded just like a PC can.
Atleast Sony has released 2 consoles and games like Ratchet & Clank, Jak, and the Grand Theft Auto series.
5 systems if you count the PSP, slimmer PS2 and PS1 versions.
just like the Dreamcast(which I like thank you very much&#33 ;) .
Live on classic games!

The Verdict?
Atari 2600 r00lz all.

I just have no liking for X-box, because there aren't any games I really like to play. :(

I mostly like Mario, Adventure games, Tony Hawk, Zelda, games like super smash bros. melee, and Kirby. They are kinda all for Gamecube, but a few are on X-box. I got PS2 mostly for racing games. I might get NBA street V3 on Gamecube so I can get the mario bros. I also like a lot of classic games, and X-box has one system, and therefore never had classics in this time. That is mostly why I don't like X-box. It is good for certain people though. ;)

I voted PS2, but I really should've voted PC, because I've spent a lot more time gaming on the PC than I have on PS2. Now that I have GTA:SA and Fall of Max Payne my PS2 gets more attention than it used to, though. I can't really do online gaming here because I'm hooked up to the worst dial-up connection possibly imaginable (21.6 KBps - now THAT's fast, baby), and I'm going to have to build a much better system than my current build to be able to handle the newer, more graphically-intense games, but I'm pretty happy with the games I can play on this PC now. I almost built a new PC last summer, but I ended up putting my money toward modding my Celica, and I already have at least $1000 cordoned off toward my Celica for this upcoming summer, so chances are good that it'll be awhile before I have a new PC.

By the way, anyone have one of those newer toploader NES's? I have both versions of NES, but I've always wondered how rare the toploaders were. Also, for anyone that's heard of Coleco Vision, my brother has one of those that actually still works.

I own two front-loader NES's, both work fine.

The top-loader NES's are very rare in the USA, as it was a Japanese model of the NES called the Famicom*, and the SNES was the Super Famicom* over there, however, Japan never got the front-loaders.

*(Famicom stands for Family Computer FYI.)*

Interesting Article on the Toploader NES

There are quite a few on eBay that are selling for around $50. I wish I'd have known how uncommon these are when I was a kid... mine got pretty beat-up over the years. The control unit has a small crack in it, and the original controler that came with it is missing the start button (both still work however). My front loader appears to be in much better shape. Also, until now I didn't realize that these would play PAL games.

All this talk of consoles also reminds me that I need to send my Dreamcast in to Sega to get it fixed at some point. I have a lot of awesome Dreamcast games, and it's a shame that they just sit there untouched...

I put DS, because my computer won't really run too many games. It's a few gigahertz too slow.

Wait a minute...why is the GameCube beating out the XBox and the PS2? That makes no sense at all!

EDIT: By the way, I voted for PCs.

Please no necromancy for this, it died over 4 years ago. Maybe we should start a new poll on the current consoles.
