Accidental Double Posting
Hello,
Whenever I click the post button it tries to post the same message twice. It has been happening for about 5 or 6 days, and I only click the post button once each time. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Re: Accidental Double Posting
I checked the logs, and you've only had that problem once recently. You can delete them when this occurs.
Though, you've said it "tries" to post the same message twice, not that it necessary does. How does it try to? Can you tell when the forum is going to do that?
As a note, this problem has never occured for me and I have over 7000 posts here including off-topic ones. You might be doing something that causes double posts that you are not aware of.

Re: Accidental Double Posting
My mouse has a problem where sometimes it double-clicks randomly. For the most part, the problem doesn't occur too much but when it does, it's pretty annoying.
I don't think that could be the issue though, otherwise it would be very obvious.

Re: Accidental Double Posting
I have this problem occasionally.
One time, I posted the same thing four times. I just delete them afterwards.

Re: Accidental Double Posting
This might be caused by my slow computer, it probably lags when I try to push the reply button. Then it gives me a message saying, "You have just posted within the last 30 seconds. Please wait X seconds and try again." I think that it only happened three times, and that was when I was either using my phone or my netbook.

Re: Accidental Double Posting
Like I said, are you using Google Chrome or similar? I've had the same problem in Chromium (a non-Google build of the Chrome source) - it seems to carry out two form actions at once when you click one submit button. I never seemed to get double posts, but my post was made and I'd be taken to the 'full' reply page, as though it had clicked 'Post Quick Reply' and 'Go Advanced' at once.

No, I use IE almost all of the time. And yes, AOL is still a browser.
