Who runs or Wants to Run a Water Blaster/Water War Website?

Do *YOU* run or wish to run a water blaster / water warfare related website? (for sake of argument, having a Facebook/MySpace/Blog/etc page that you use to promote your water blaster/water warfare hobby counts, too) I know some members that do, but likely do not know all. If you do run or plan on running a water warfare-related website in the near future, please reply to this thread.

To build the online community, it would be best to have all websites working together on joint projects!

Soak on!

I'm not sure, I might sometime, but I haven't yet. I need to wait until my team and union grow a bit, five members isn't as much as I want/need.

But yeah, I will somepoint in the future.

My tactics-oriented site comes out on January 1st. It will be the first site that I actually finish.

HBWW is still up and running. I'm not thinking of any updates until next year since there's not much going on. Whether or not I expand the scope of the site next year, only time will tell. I also have a small, but inactive facebook group with a dozen or so members which is also used for nerfing.

The Soaker Nook is being put on hold for a while. I aim to have it up on new hosting my the new year. I just don't have much time to devote to the community these days. I'll try my best to check in weekly, but I'll always be here, if only in spirit.

Working on my site now, but it won't be done for a while.

Anybody know good hosts?

Free webs has okay hosting, and you can set up a forum. That is where I am planning to host my website, if I ever get around to actually making it.

I don't know. My website plans to have tons of pages (I'm not even close to done and it already has like 30 pages) and FreeWebs has a page limit (talk to steelboot if you wanna know).

Yeah, that is true, but I was only going to set up a team website, with a couple of reviews for the guns that we own. Maybe even put in a section about homemades? Other than that, some battle reports and a couple of modifications. Do you know if forum posts count towards the page limit?

No I don't. We should explore freewebs to see what the limit is or if forum posts count as pages or not. The thing is, steelboot's Soaker Nook has about that many pages and his limit's past. I'd say he has 20 pages or so. I think that's probably the limit.

I think freewebs is for displaying just pics, vids, etc., and focusing on one topic, and havin' like 10 pages or so. I think I'll go for a better host.

Thanks, zeda. I look at freewebs at some point.

I believe at one point, Ben was offering to host sub-sites under sscentral.org. I'm also open to hosting sub-sites under isoaker.net. In either case, to use these you will need to know how to build pages using HTML and upload things via FTP (unless Ben can offer online templates; I know I can't at the moment).

These are potential options for those not wanting the limits of the various free hosts.

I am going to try to set up a website at freewebs, and then post as many topics as I can in the forum, to see if it counts towards page limit. Otherwise I might have to go with isoaker's offer.

I don't know how to build pages that way yet, I'm supposed to learn in school next year. I'm making a template in Microsoft Publisher '07.

When I learn, I might do the offer. We'll have to see.

Hey Juch! I recommend Yola. I used it to re-build Soaker Nook. No page limit and more features than Webs!

@zeda.beda: You can post as many topics as you want on the forum, but it would be inconvenient for anybody looking at the site. Try yola, or request SSC hosting.
