Hey guys,

I'm not sure if you have heard of the ZX-series of soakers, but back when I was growing up, they competed with the "Super Soaker" brand quite heavily.

Anyway, I came here because I saw this thread back from 2006 on a google search http://forums.sscentral.org/t3934/. I have for sale a ZX-2000 in the original box. Here is a picture of it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v36/I ... CF6477.jpg. This is soaker is back from a while back (maybe like 15 years or so). I got it as a gift when I was child and didn't make much use of it, since I had gotten a Super Soaker SS200 (http://www.isoaker.com/Armoury/Analysis ... 200_01.jpg) shortly afterward.

I would like to sell it, but I don't know how much to sell it for, nor do I know if listing it on craigslist/ebay would draw any interest. I was thinking maybe $10-$15 + shipping would be good, but let me know what you guys think and if you can offer any advice on selling it.

Thank you,

~ Im2bz2p345 :)

ZX...hm...I have already heard of this but this is the first Soaker I have ever seen of this line. It is NIB so I think you have not tested it yet and you will not test it either, right ? I am curious to find out how it firs and how much etc.

I don't know if I would really trust the "50 feet" claim. lol. You know manufacturers back then wanted to have the biggest & best product out, so they would write all sorts of things on the box to lure customers in ;)

From what I remember though, it does shoot water really far (if you pump it up a lot). Maybe not 50 feet, but definitely more than 30 feet (from what I remember as a child).

Oh, it's not completely new. I had played with it a few times growing up, but I was very careful with my toys, hence I still have the packaging and everything. I don't really want to "test" anything with it though, just want to sell it since I am moving & getting rid of a lot of stuff.

Hope that helps,

It is no piston blaster? (1x Pump = 1x shoot ) Has a Pressure Chamber? Does it fire each pump ?

Oh sorry, I believe you're correct. It fires as you pull back the handle in one shot. I was confusing this with my old Super Soaker, in which you had to "pump" to build up pressure.

I think the distance of how far the water goes depends on how hard you pull back the handle toward the gun.

Thanks for the correction.

You can certainly get nice performance with a well-designed piston blaster, although they tend to fall a little short of pressurised guns. 50 feet is likely to be way optimistic, but 30-35 feet seems reasonable. And with a 2 gallon water tank, you're not running out any time soon.

How big is the nozzle?

And you can reach the listed 50 feet you just have to really want it and you must have a power with your arms that is unbelieveable...Any volountary ? :D

The nozzle is quite small. I would estimate it at around 5 millimeters (or less) diameter. I believe it's smaller so that it can generate pressure for distance shots.

Anyway, I have decided to pass this water gun to some family friend's of ours. They have some kids in 10-14 year range who would seriously love this as a birthday present. This way I also don't have to deal with shipping it far. lol.

Sorry for all the trouble with the thread. Thank you all for your responses/interest.
