Well...it's not a great gun. But you''re not too likely to find anything better for five dollars.

But there is a pretty cool thing about the Bottle Shot: you can carry lots of bottles of water so when you run out, you can just put on another one. It's kind of like a clip for water guns.

True. But you can use bottles to fill a regular water gun too. It may take slightly longer, but if your gun has a separate pressure chamber (whether air pressure or CPS) you can fend people off even while refilling. And there are means for making bottles empty quicker.

The bottle shot is a great sidearm because of its mobility. Wish it wasnt piston powered though. It can have a range of over 30 feet, which is ok. I think you should buy it if its five dollars, thats a deal.

There's another good thing about it too-It's small and portable. Also, if you're at a pool, you don't even need a bottle.

I wouldn't really assign small and portable as a pro for the Bottle Shot as 75% of all stock blasters are small and portable. Usually small and portable is only assigned as a pro when the power of the soaker is high, suggesting power in a small package. All recent blasters from Super Soaker are weak, small and portable so I wouldn't really assign small and portable as a pro.

Your bro is only five? 2L will be too heavy then. I'd recommend an XP 215, or the standard bottle shot bottle with the Bottle Shot.

Using it bazooka style will probably get the best power too. By bracing part of the gun against the shoulder one can push with more force, resulting in longer range. It's harder to aim when doing that mind.
