CPS 2100 Ripoff!!!!

Post by arcticblastman » Sun May 24, 2009 5:29 am

Do not buy the guns listed as: Monster Super Soaker CPS 2120 Water Gun Larami Squirt. This is a cps 1-3-5(a horrible gun)passed off as a modded cps 2100. It is astounding that some people stoop so low and rip off water warriors.

It would be astounding...were it not for the fact that you're jumping to conclusions.

The gun has lost its stickers. Quite probably there's an item or model number somewhere that's 2120, so the seller thought that was the name of the gun.

The pictures make it very obvious which it is. Nowhere does it say it's been modded,

So, I would say there's no deceit on the part of the seller. There are a lot of rip-off merchants on eBay, but this isn't one of them.

For reference, the auction is

It has 5 nozzles fixed in a fan arrangement. It only looked like a ripoff, because it looked nothing like a modded cps 2100.

As far as I'm concerned, the 1-3-5 does not hold close to as much as the 2500. As for the misnomer of 2120, he's probably just getting names mixed up.

Its definately a real super soaker though. The logo is still intact and if you compare it to other pics, it matches up.

I believe the 2120 is supposed to be for PC integration mods, but I'm not exactly familiar with how people created the naming convention for those.

According to isoaker, the 1-3-5 holds MORE water than the 2500, whether you measure just reservoir and reservoir+PC combined.

Of course the 2500 does the better job of delivering its water to the target.

Hmm, I thought it was near 2100 in terms of capacity. The 1-3-5 is pretty easy to turn into a useful soaker though; nozzle plug-up and a light k-mod should make it pretty good, and I'd buy one for cheap but they don't come around that often. (and people generally don't like them)

Nah, the 1-3-5's similar to the 1500/1700, except for the nozzle silliness.

It's somewhat surprising that the so much bigger 2500 doesn't hold more water. But I suppose it's because though long, the 2500 is quite slim, and the reservoir occupies proportionally less of the length.

Just for the record, 2120 is not a possible pc - host combination and therefore can't be a swapping integration name. Those kind of integrations involving CPS 1-3-5's would also contain a K, like [CPS 21K-3-5] as you'd rarely ever do that to a 1-3-5 without a very strong pc.

Modded CPS 1-3-5's are actually pretty good, I once K-swapped a 1-3-5 for Cobralex with a 21K pc and it could shoot forever.
