Super Soaker Central

What soaker is the one you almost always use, the soaker that is truly you? As for me, I'd have to say my CPS 2500. It just does everything.

My favorite soaker has to be the CPS 2100, it is an extremely versatile rifle.

I don't have very many soakers, so for now it's probably either my HydroBlitz or my PRH.

I just posted it in the Best Water Warrior thread - the Sting Ray. I'd think twice before taking it to a deathmatch though - it's a weapon for when speed on foot matters.

I have to agree with steelboot, definatily the 2500. This beast kills the oppenent with its stellar range, high output (if desired), and how sleek and good looking this larger CPS cannon is. Sickly awesome, I'd say!

My second is my 2000, but not because of it in the field.

Third, SC Power Pak. It's pretty light for being a backpack blaster and has about a minute of shot time on 3x. It has 3 other nozzles that will drench (shower, 10x, fan blast) and it has no pumping (SC).

Number one would be my friend's 2500, which I use whenever I get the chance. When it's not available, I stick with my 12k (light k, 40 balloons or so) which is somewhat lighter without sacrificing too much power from the 2500.

I've also used my CPH before, but not in hit based games. There's still a lot that needs to be fixed up before I can really use it effectively and even then, the lack of a trigger may be troublesome.

For light-soaker-only type games, I've dual wielded Max-D 3k's with some success. I generally prefer the Max-D 6k, FF, or Tiger Shark for when a bit more waterpower is needed, but the dual 3k's are light, easy to use, and the limited water available is not too much of a problem for hit based games.

I like 12/21Ks too. They're my fourth and fifth most valued.

I'd have to say my CPS 2700, simply because it seems fairly rugged. I know I haven't been the most careful in handling it, but my first one (nearly 10 years old now!) is still in reasonably good shape after a few minor battles and several moves (including twice across the Atlantic). Granted, the pump cap snapped off, but duct tape did a surprisingly good job of holding it together.

I also have a CPS 1700 that I use, but the pump seems very flimsy - I feel like I'm going to break it accidentally.

CPS 2000. I have NEVER lost a battle while using it.

The CPS3000 is my favorite, because of its water supply and power.
The only drawback is the small straps on the backpack.

But I use a combination of MonsterX and CPS2500 a lot of times for the intimidation factor.
Inexperienced opponents often run from battle when using these two together.


I suppose i'm no match for experienced water warriors since it's almost impossible to move quickly with this kind of equipment.

My HydroBlitz broke, so my best is now my PRH.

Sentimentally my 1200, which I hope to repair soon as it's currently broken.

In terms of monetary value, my 2100 (broken) or Vindicator, both cost $70 but the 2100 was bought years ago so would have cost more considering inflation.

In terms of combat value out of my current working guns, probably my Pulse Blaster mkII, or Flash Flood which are both very versatile.

And cantab, I agree that Sting Ray's are great! I outshot a number of nerf guns with it last week in a killing round at uni (similar to assasins I think?), got 7 people with it in one day

Pulse Blaster mk2? What's the difference between the mk1 and the mk2?

There are a few crucial differences...basically the mk2 fixes all the problems of the mk1 (pump catching on the pump shaft case, lagging trigger valve) and makes it a really really solid soaker. In the near future I hope to do a review of the mk2 and include comparisons and differences between the mk1 and 2 (I have one mk1, one mk2 and one mk2 NIP, it's that good!)

I'd definitely pick one up if you can, the easiest way to identify the mk2 is the trigger; the mk1 has 3 holes in the trigger and the mk2 has no holes in the trigger (and a much stronger trigger spring)

Do the rest of the Pulse series have a mk2 counterpart? the Pulse master had similar problems.
