Oh the power feels so good! I just finished putting on the 60th balloon on the 2100 PC. The range difference from 30 balloons is only about 5 feet, but the power increase is amazing. The shot time is divided in half, and I can only pump 14 times instead of the 17 that my 30 let me do. It shot about 55 feet for 1 second, almost doubling the output of having 30 balloons. It has so much kick that when I held it with one hand I actually struggled to have the gun stay in one place. The power is simply amazing. Anyone who is wondering if they should K-Mod their soaker, stop wondering! Check Valve Freezing is very easy and if you have trouble there is a wealth of information here at SSC. Putting balloons on the PC is easy unless you're some kind of retard. For a very inexpensive overall price (for me, just $11), you can quadruple (well, mine did) the output of your gun, and increase the range by over 10 feet. Trust me you will thank Doom (I Don't want to take false credit) that you did the mod. I can't stop saying it. Get off your computer and go to the store! Get some balloons, a screw, and some epoxy! Don't wait, go now! GO! :Hey, that's funny.: :Hey, that's funny.: :Hey, that's funny.:

What I don't get about the check valve freeze (I have not done it yet) is whether you are supposed to completely seal off the hole or leave it so that a little air fits through? Also I would like to know the exact size of screw that a 2100 needs to freeze the valve because I am in Alaska and I don't want to be cutting things off unless I am sure I can get the parts. In addition the screws are wearing down on my soaker and I wan't to know if you can get replacements

Thanks

You can replace the screws in your soaker with similarly sized ones. I do know people have done it, it just vaires from soaker to soaker. Bring a screw to the hardware store and see what they have.

You don't need to do it the a big screw to seal that! I just did it that way because it gives you a litte more room for adjustment, less room for failure and it's easier to seal a solid object onto something. If you look at the frozen pic of the CPS 2100 check valve, you'll see that it doesn't even use a screw. I'm changing the article so that it says that now.

based on dux's 65 balloon k-mod I would say 15-20 pumps.

Wow, if you do that many something will give. With 69 balloons on my new 21k, power can be achieved by only 4 pumps, but for the maximum 10 is enough.

Quote:
btw, for some reason after about 17 pumps it gets extremely difficult to pump so I stop. I think it might be the balloon hitting the walls of the pc, so thats why I Don't pump it any more than the amount that it is normal.

A stock 2100 gets hard to pump after 17. You shouldnt be pumping it more than 15 times.

I am goign to K-Mod my 2100, one I get the stupid pump cap off. I have tried everything, but nothing seems to work.

The cap must be glued on. Saw into it so that it is cut down the middle, no more is needed as a split in the middle will allow the casing to come apart.
10 times? Mine is sealed off great and I can pump, like I said, 14 times with 60 balloons on the PC.

What I did to seal the pipe better was to cut the pipe (pressured side) about 1/2 a cm from the hole that leads to the PC, so there is kind of a bowl shape (except more like a cylindrical bowl) before the hole that leads to the PC. I then measured from the end of my big screw, (which I bought after I cut the valve so I could take it to the store and get the perfect size) to how far I could put it in the hole before it blocks the intersecting tube. I then screwed the screw in. Then, there was an entire bowl like, now donut shaped (because of the screw) that was about a 1/2 cm deep. I filled out the entire section with Plastic Welder. This made a very very hard seal. The only thing to worry about is the trigger valve now, and Doom said that it is a very strong kind, plus, I reinforced mine, so everything is just fine.

Well why bother making additional pumps? 10 is all that is needed for the maximum power. Max range and good output only requires 4 or 5 pumps.
Don't waste energy with extra pumps, they won't do anything if the max power has already been reached.

Dux, if I want a bigger amount of water in the PC I can pump 4 more times. It's not like it's hard or anything!

Saves time during battle. In a 1HK game theres no time for extra pumping under the tactics and conditions where I fight. And, yes, my 21k is VERY hard to pump because of power it has. It chooses when it wants to work, but when it does the water explodes out with amazing range/power. Yours is easy to pump either because its not that powerful or its a different model. [Every 2100 is unique, I doubt anyone will find 2 that are identical.

Dux, I saw that there are two exactly the same. When we went to SA there were a bunch that looked the same which is mine, and yours was the only one I saw that looked like that.
