Why not buy soaker tags, do they not work or what?

Sorry if I'm flaming but, SoakerTag guns are HORRIBLE. They only have around a 20 foot range maximum and some don't have pumps!

The only ST guns I would buy are the Liquidator (as a backup wepon) or the Vaporizer.

Hasbro is really aiming for younger kids with these guns!

Actually that isn't flaming anyway. Flaming is like me going "hey racer you suck." Insults is typically flaming.

Anyway, the SoakerTag guns don't stand up to the standards of a real water gunner. They are weak guns when you get down to it. I did have some fun modding a Vaporizer, but then again I practically turned it into a completely different gun. There is only one separate PC gun this year, a ton of pistons and 2 pressurized reservoir guns. Most people will use separate PC guns in battles, they are a superior technology when compared to the other options. With only one gun like that this year (in the ST line), and it having a 180 ml PC, which is absolutely tiny, SoakerTag doesn't cut it.

Stop exagerating. We all know that the soakertag line is bad, but not that bad.
They all have pumps, what kinda stupid idea is that? Only dollar store guns Don't have pumps. As for range, all of the guns have at least 30 feet of range exept for the helix. The only plus of the 2004 line is the durability. I hav't tried the hydroblade yet, but all the others are very solid.

I guess I will be the only one here who will advise you not to buy the CPS 4100 or a CPS 2100. Rather go on ebay and get yourself a really good gun for a bit more $. Most recommend the CPS2100 and the CPS4100 since thats the only CPS soaker they have used. I used every CPS soaker exept for the small Monster and CPS 2000. So if you want a good soaker get these:

CPS 3200, 2002 MXL(range is equal like the CPS2100 but with 23X),MX2002, CPS 2500, CPS 2700, CPS 1500, CPS 1200, CPS 1000. You might spend more, but quality has its price. Having 1 CPS 1500 is better than having 5 triple aggressors or 7 Hydroblades. The amount of XPBackfire-esque never impoved the quality of XPBackfire-esque itself.

Personally I wouldn't go onto eBay for one reason, it's a complete and total ripoff. You'll be paying XPBackfire-esqueloads of money there to get your weapons. I recommend the CPS 2100 not because it's the only gun I have used (far from it), but because it's an excellent gun for it's size, with power about that of the CPS 1000 (actually it's a little less but that typically makes it a better canidate for modding), and a price several times cheaper than that you would pay to get a CPS 1000 on eBay. A CPS 1000 will more much more than "a bit" more expensive than the $7.49 CPS 2100. Don't get me wrong, I love my CPS 1000.

On eBay you'll easily get caught up in bidding frenzies, inflating the cost of your soaker. All the guns he mentioned will fetch easy over $40 each, most over $80. With the $40 money alone you could have 5 CPS 2100s.

I know that the SoakerTag guns suck, but I was talking about the actual Soaker Tags, not the guns

Aahhh, I have some of those, they don't work all that well, however, it turns into a paste-like substance when wet. Quite an interesting thing to use.

Well, If you ever buy a soaker in a 2004 box, you get soaker tags. These are great for target practice since you have them anyways. I have never purchased a pack for a big battle, but I have done a couple of 1 on 1 matches with them.
They are not that great, you have to have a direct hit to the soakertag to get any of it off. No spray. That means that stuff like fanburst and shower do nothing to it. It might be cool if you had a lot of soakertags all over you, but then it makes super soakers into a sport with perishable resorces. Not at all what we intend it to be. I say use em if you have em around, but don't go buying new one's.

I got a 2500 off ebay for only $31! The soaker tag targets can stain yoour clothes because they almost dissolve. Don't bother with them. Smudge made a good point-use them for target practice. :Hey, that's funny.:

That's an exception. Most of the time now you'll have to spend much much more than that to get a CPS 2500. DA puts the reserve price at like $90 for his eBay 2500s.

My reserve price is not quite that high, but my last CPS 2500 sold for $108 not including shipping. The reason why it simply sold that high was a bit of educating the bidders of what the CPS 2500 is capable of, and a solid presentation. Ebay is 70% psycological.

What can I say, my childhood was in the 80s and early 90s which had no politicaly correct toy gun image. A water gun, or any gun, which did not have the state of the art soaker size and power might aswell not be a gun at all and reflects poorly on whoever uses it. The soaker was a symbolic representation of the user.

Im not flaming or anything, but I recommend the cps 2100 and cps 4100 because they're easy to get and really good guns. I disagree about monsters. I have a monster xl... It is one of the worst investments I ever made. The range is terrible for something of that size and the weight is so unbearable that I never carry it to water wars and skirmishes. And some of those guns like the cps 2000 are not going to be a bit more, more like a lot more. Last cps 2000 I saw on ebay sold around 140 dollars. Why go through the trouble when you can get something thats awesome at a store for 7 bucks?

It would be best if someone started off with some kind of beginer gun like the cps 2100 and cps 4100 and then work their way up to bigger guns. Not go all blown out and spend all your money on 1 gun. What I did was started at Max D 6000, went to a 4100 and 2100, and now im looking into bigger guns for my arsenal.

I agree with nibordude about the availability and price stuff. Why would you go for a more expensive and far away item when a nearly as good, very cheap and readily available item is sitting right in ront of you?

The foundation of my sales are mainly the shot images. Interesting thing is, after I sold my last CPS 2500 for $108, some other guy copied and pasted my description. He only added 2 sentences of his own. Then he put up a link of my last sale. I don't know if I should be offened by him for using my work for his benefit, or if I should be flattered. Just to bad for him he only took pics of a non active soaker, which don't really draw in bidders.
