I should have done that in the first place. However, I was stupid and took Doom's advice even though I didn't have the right size screw. Now the internals will be a huge mess of parts.

I measured the maximum range of my 21 K and it is 58 1/2 feet. Unlike many who estimate, I decided to measure so when I post the range, its really a correct figure.
[at]Bluesmudge: You could have just gone to a hardware store and bought a larger screw. It couldn't cost much.

A lesson for other k-modders: If your screw isnt big enough to fit and fill in the opening, use an alternate cover. I got the opening covered using all glue, however, that won't work for most people. Either buy a larger screw or cut out a piece of plastic.

Nice results with the range! That really is a powerful gun. My 27000 gets a little less, but then again I used less balloons so that was expected.

Its really hard to find a screw. 1/2" is a little too big, and my local hardware stores didn't have a metric selection.

I think I can actually get even better range by drilling the nozzle. If its already 58.6 ft now, what will it be when its drilled? :P

It's testing day for the 12k. 60 balloons and a check valve freeze should be enough, right?

I personally would add 10 more balloons :P
You should get as much power out of it as possible. If you are afraid it might break with more balloons, then reinforce the internals, but seriously nothing will happen. My 21 k isnt reinforced and im not worried about that because Im smart and won't overpump it. Good luck with your 12 k.
