UserID: 56 | Can I move to where you live? It's unbearably hot in southern Ontario. The weather channel called for rain for a few days and there hasn't been a drop lately. Today was the worst because of the humidity. I'm so lucky my entire school has AC in it (it was built in 1996).

You don't want rain, or at least in the amounts we can get here in the Northeast. It is supposed to rain every day this week, in the form of random afternoon thunderstorms, like the ones we had today. We get the remnents of most tropical systems that hit the country, and those tend to move out really slowly, dumping flooding rain. It seems to be hot everywhere, and you are lucky that your whole school has AC. Parts of mine were built before the turn of the century, parts in the 1940's, parts in the 70's, the science wing in '98. So some rooms have it, and in some rooms it feels like you're being cooked. ![]()

UserID: 56 | Right now any amount of rain would be nice, and you'd be suprised how much different your rain is from mine. For starters, the geology of our areas are different (I live in the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Basin) so rain would differ, also because I live on top of the Niagara Escarpment (large rock formation, of course flat on the top). Actually most of my rain is from the southwest and some are "Colorado lows". I watch the weather channel too much :P . Today I've been getting lots of thunder, but no visible lightning or rain. Kind of odd if you ask me.

UserID: 281 | Your school has AC? My school had radiators that are on all year round and windows that don't work. But that's because most of it was built in the fifties. It's been quite hot here at the moment. Not unbearably though, thankfully. However, we may have to have a hosepipe ban this year as there hasn't been enough rain.
