I cannot correctly judge if this is a good amount for your team, also I Don't have enough information to make any suggestions and/or comments. Please post back later with your Squad size, armoury, and any other details that would be interesting.

I am trying to invent an attachment for my 15000 and 1200, they Don't fill fast. So, I'm thinking some sort of double-sided hose attachment..

THE IDEA:

a way to quickly connect a 2L to a non-QFD soaker as an extra tank.

THE DEVICE:

an attachment that can;

1) connect to both the Soaker's tank, and
2) connect to a 2L for quick filling

I'll keep you posted, and if I get this done, I will add it to the "mods" section of the site.

I see what you mean. you'd need to take the reservoir cap holder-inner thing out, then get a threaded connector, one side that fits on the 2l and one that fits on the soaker tank. I'm sure you can find one at home depot if you look hard enough. however, you might want to use a smaller bottle for balance reasons.

I believe that is what you (Racer) would want to do. It seems to have worked good for them.

My friend and I did that to his CPS 1200, but we did it with a 1.75 liter margarita bottle. (non alchholic). We drilled a hole in the back at a 45 degree angle and stuck it in, but the we realized we should have done something more like the attachment, where the hole in the bottom of the bottle goes on the tank so you can screw the cap back on the 2l.

Here's what we did do. (Sorry about the double post)
this leaks too much. We just put a hole in the top of the bottle to fill and covered it with duct tape. It takes forever to fill, but it's got great capacity.

just had a thought - I think I know how to turn the max-d 3000 into quite an awesome gun after freezing the check valve, I'll post if it works.

Edit: nope - I thought for sure the threads on its res. cap were about the size of a 2l, guess I was wrong. I was going to use one of those tornado-tube thingies.

Does anyone read ANY of my friggin' posts or doom's getting-mad-at-me-posts?!!!!

I did this with a Max-D 2000 and I also cut the nozzle so it's bigger. Like Doom said, it makes the gun useless, though it could shoot about 42 feet (nozzle about 4x) with a constant stream. The bad things? A one second shot, and both of mine broke! The mod is pretty much useless unless you make the nozzle bigger, and only if you pump around 80 times. NOTE: Even if you decide to do this pointless, backup-ruining mod, NEVER fill the gun up more than 2/3s of the way, or the pressure will be WAY to high and the gun will break after a few uses, I guarantee it.

I did a reserve expansion to my XP-310 SwashBuckler (I love that name). It adds only about 20 oz of water, but on an XP that's a lot. I also makes it have a shoulder rest/(stock)

I first used a 2" drill bit to cut a hole in the back of the reserve. That's where it would go.
Then I took a 22 oz. Ketchup bottle, and cut off half of the neck. Then I removed all labels. I then covered the entire thing exept for the rest of the neck in electrical tape. I also left a clear colum to see water levels.
Now I drilled a 2" hole in a Yogurt container. Then cut around the outside to make it thinner. It looked like a skinny edged donut. I pushed this as far as I could onto the neck of the ketchup bottle, and hot glued it there. This was to make a larger platform to glue the bottle to the gun with.
Next I shoved the neck up to the yogurt platform into the hole in the reserve. (I at first tried epoxy to seal it, but it didn't work well for me.) I then sealed it with hot glue. Lots of hot glue.
After that dried, I covered it in electrical tape to look cool.
And thats the end! Hope you can understand it. It's an awesome mod and makes the gun look like a rifle. No leaks too!
