A general question to everyone: Have you ever seen a 10K on Ebay? I've seen 21Ks and 12Ks, but never a 10K...when I start flooding the market tomorrow, I don't want the "first ever 10K on Ebay" to be a false claim

Wait... You are referring to a CPS 1000. 10K.

There are quite a few of those around. I see them on eBay all the time.

If you are going to flood eBay, just don't buy a CPS 1500 or CPS 1700. I want one of those.

I can't remember ever seeing a 10K on eBay. Obviously, you can't be abolutely sure, so why not say "probably the first..."? Rather reminiscent of the Carling advertisements...

Mars, a K is tacked onto the end of the name of any water gun that's been K-modded. Because K represents three zeros, it's like adding another zero to signify extra power. And modified CPS 1000s are naturally rare, especially on eBay.

Why so? What's the problem with K-modding a 1000?
I've seen few modded guns going on ebay. On the UK one there's a CPS 3200 with the 3l max infusion backpack instead of the original, but that's about it.

My 10k has particuarly strange PRV behavior. It seems to go off partially when pumping, but even so, pumping still builds up pressure. I'll have to examine this in more detail later, perhaps take statistics and find avg pump volumes for various pressurization levels. Perhaps I should open it up again and strip it down to 10 balloons instead of the 15 it currently has.

Explain in more detail? Cause my first 10K makes the valve sound opening on every pump, but it builds up pressure to an uncertain amount...the sound is always the same, so you can pump it forever without knowing when the PRV actually kicked. It's got 40 balloons at the moment.

And Mars, lol, if a gun is K-moddable and I'm selling it, it's never going to be stock.

Well unless it's like my no-mark 2100...that thing wouldn't perform well and would be a bitch to open.

Interesting question - do modded guns go for more or less than stock? Those who want them mainly for use might pay more for a modded gun, but those who are more looking to collect probably wouldn't touch it.

More common guns have tended to gain value when modded [King Soaker with the 21K being the best tested example], while it's best to leave rarer or really hot guns alone [2000, MXL, even 4100].

I haven't been able to list yet. You'll most likely see a modded gun or two pop up on Monday afternoon [EDT]. I think all of my starting bids will be 99 cents, if I get a lot in the end then great, if not then oh well.

Yeah I know. The AC broke...we got it fixed early this morning, but it was so hot that I actually got psychologically sick past few days. Drained to 0 energy, couldn't do anything. Today I'm perfectly normal [30 less degrees is that powerful on me], but it stormed all day so I couldn't take pictures.
