hyper! you just gave me an awesome idea! what if.... what if you were to attach a pumping mechanism to the pedal of a bike so it pumped while you rode, then there'd be a trigger on the handle

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

I actually am thinking about buying the largest one and gearing it so that it will turn faster if that's possible. I think it could have potential, or maybe I just want to see how it works.

From what I've read, water wheels only shoots like 30 feet. And that's on a bike, maybe the Mattel thing wouldn't be as good. Maybe water wheels isn't powered by the bike though, I actually don't know.

http://www.waterwheels.com for those who don't know.

Well 1 model is engine powered, but the other 2 are powered in some way by the pedals. (This is from memory though, so Don't hold me to it) However we can see some of Hasbro rubbing off on them in a few cases, and in others, just STUPID marketing. I AM going to TAKE MY WATER WHEELS ™ AND GO BLAST THE SAND MONSTER. Pleasssssssssssssse. Also some things like a HUD goggles and heargear and all that ****. If it was the same Idea in smeone elses more capable hands, I would consider getting it. But right now its in some idios hands who doesn't know what the public wants, and is still in the stage of giving out info and stuff that they make NDA-protected. At the rate I saw, there might be about 5 models in Hong Kong sometime around 2025.

EDIT: Tried the link, gues what came up!

Note that that is http://www.waterwheels.com/mainlogo.gif for crying out loud.

I guess Water Wheels is no more. Let's dance on it's carcass to celebrate. No one is going to buy waterwheels.com, that doesn't describe anything.

Hmmm...a thought struck me today, could you use this idea of a geared crank to make a mobile QFD? I think it could be done...any comments?

I doubt it would have enough power to get very much of the water in. You'd probably need to spin it at a billion miles per hour to get it to work good. What would work better is a soaker modified so that it can only be used as a portable QFD, that would rock because you can fill it normal and you only have to pump it.
