For those of you who don't know what some of that means, here are some examples of games:

FPS-First Person Shooter: Medal of Honor series, Quake series, Counter Strike, etc.

RPS-Real Time Strategy: Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Empire Earth, etc.

Action/Adventure: Metal Gear Solid series, Onimusha, etc.

Racing: Gran Turismo series, Need for Speed, etc.

Puzzles/Problem solving: Oddworld series, etc.

RPG/Roleplaying: Final Fantasy series, Diablo series, Everquest, etc.

Dancing: Bust a Groove, Dance Dance Revolution, etc.

Fighting: Tekken series, Mortal Kombat series, etc.

Platform games: Sonic, Metal Slug, etc.

For me, it would have to be RPG's. Final Fantasy 6 and up are my favorite games ever. The second would have to be RTS's. Warcraft 3 kicks butt, period.

No, the best game of all time is Chrono Trigger. It was so good that they ran out of SNES carts to make it. At least thats what I heard. At least I think that. I used to play a lot of games. I also beat SimCity original without cheating. Some people say that is sooo hard, but it's sooooo easy if you know what to do.

HALO! w00t! It's the best FPS'er ever. You can do so much, even drive and fly, along with just about anything else.

Halo is good... but can you drop conc a flag off a pipe trap while using air control to avoid the rockets being shot at your butt in midair in, while the time is ticking down and you pull that flag out at the last minute to give your clan the win in Halo?

I should show you my demos sometime :P

TFC > All > Counter-Strike

Halo was fun for awhile when we were warthog jumping...

And I would play Tribes 2 if I could find a working version.

If you get tom clancy's splinter cell, they have just about every detail included. it's mind boggling. The flatscreen monitors in the game actually change colors when you look at them at an angle.

My first choice of genre are RPG console games, since most have more than 40 hours of game time.
- Final Fantasy Series
- Xenosaga, Xenogears
- Suikoden III
- Baldurs Gate Dark Aliance(PS2)
- and many more

My second choice are Action/Adventure. (I prefer the Grand Theft Auto Series over all RPGs, but they are not a genre by itself.)
- Grand Theft Auto III
- Grand Theft Auto Vice City
- Devil May Cry
- Blood Omen/ Soul Reaver Series
- Zelda series(GameCube)
- many more

My third choice are PC Simulation games.
- Sims series
- Sim City series
- many more

I've been playing many more RPG's lately. And I can't stand Final Fantasy-ish RPG's anymore (so linear... blah).

PC RPG's > Console RPG's

I've been playing lately:

Colin McRae Rally 3 - Rally > NASCAR (when racing has to be more than left turns)
Neverwinter Nights - Awesome, non-linear, completely open-ended DnD 3rd Edition style RPG. Possibly the best I've played. Incredible depth to the type of char you can make
Ragnarok Online - Good Korean hack-and-slash MMORPG. Funky 2D/3D style, and better than most hack-and-slash fests.

I want to play:

Fallout 1 and 2 - RPG. Kicks butt according to my friend (he has to burn for me). There are super soakers as hidden weapons in one of them (I forgot which)!
Colin McRae Rally 4 - Not out yet AFAIK but should be great.
Half Life 2 - ^ See Above but multiply want of this game X10.
