UserID: 320 | The SS 300. It got the advertised 50 feet. Ben did some testing a few years ago with mine, and the results showed that many shots were over 50 feet (up to 53 or 54 from what I remember) with the average distance being 49 feet. The SS 300 had the best range until the CPS 2000 was released in fact.

UserID: 320 | APH stands for Air Pressure Homemade. It was one of the first pump to pressurize homemade water guns. Supercannon II is Ben's best performing water gun. It also operated on air pressure, using a piston to divide the air and water. This lets you get better performance because the path that the water flows through is linear.

UserID: 1 | Other than the SS 300 there is the XP 300, but it's extremely rare and essentially a repackaged SS 300. The SS 300 is a very good water gun by the way. I would highly suggest it. They show up from time to time on eBay NIB and people don't get them, which is good for us. ![]() The XP 250 is similar to the SS 300 and might be able to perform on part with it, maybe with the nozzle selector removed (a very basic modification). However, it is rare and little is known about it. I remember I wanted to bid on one on eBay when I saw one, but I don't remember if I did. I didn't win obviously, but I wish I did because it looks like a good water gun.

UserID: 1 | Here's a good page if you have what you think might be a common question: http://www.sscentral.org/finding-answers.html I'd suggest checking out our glossary for specific terms. A QFD does stand for quick fill device. Perhaps we should use the glossary to link to other pages about the term? That would be a good idea. iSoaker.com has some more specific information about Super Soaker QFDs. There also are Speed Loader QFDs, but they are rare.

UserID: 576 | I'm not sure about the XP 250, but the XP 150 has definitely been cited as a powerful air pressure water gun. The 250 has similar styling so it probably performs similarly. Both are essentially non-backpack versions of the 300.

UserID: 1 | I wouldn't say the XP 150 has good range though. It's range is actually rather lacking. The large pump I think is its biggest strength. The XP 250 on the other hand appears (to me at least) to be a direct descendant of the SS 300 design and that's why I think it might perform similarly.

UserID: 576 | The Orca is not part of Super Soaker's CPS line, but it does use rubber bladders like all CPS water guns. In my experience, it has good range but rather low output.

UserID: 1539 | Yeah what is the point of the "Fan" mode ? It only seems useful for watering flowers. My next buy will probably be a Arctic blast or CPS1k, probably the Arctic Blast but the CPS 1k is a definite possibility. Also is the XP215 a good one? There are some cheap ones on EBAY. |

UserID: 569 | XP 215s are tiny pistols. Mr. Dude has one, but it has a nozzle issue. They're kind of bad, but if you want one, go for it.
