Good to hear you're still working on this!

What type of air compressor did you find? Is it one meant for car and bike tires, or a much heavier-duty one?

It's like one that you can attach air tools to like a spray gun or the likes.

That should be perfect. Look in the air compressor section of your local hardware or home improvement store and buy some male air couplings to attach to an air tank.

What you need now is some sort of pressure vessel. We've already discussed the options so you can decide what you want to use.

Pressure drop along the nozzles like aEx155 mentioned might be a problem, so you might want to do something to minimize it. Using large diameter pipe from the pressure chamber to the nozzles should prevent most pressure drop problems (there would be plenty of flow to feed everything). Feeding the nozzle area from both sides should help, but you'll still end up with pressure drop in the middle. Feeding each end and the middle should work as well.

Multiple pressure chambers and valves would get expensive, but should keep each nozzle performing the same.

I'm taking it you found a gas-powered pump.

The output pressure at whatever flow you need will determine what size tank you need, at least for a given amount of "shot" time. From what I know, air tools use rather high pressure, so you may not need a high volume air tank. The problem is that you'll need a lot of water volume to match the air, and with such a high water to air ratio, the pressure could drop quickly as you fire if the pump stops running.
