After taking off my 2700's nozzle selector to see the 20x, I put everything back together properly. But now, after every shot, it leaks from under the selector. Does this mean the o-ring is loose, or I didn't tighten the screw enough (even though I spent a good few minutes just tightening it)? I know this isn't too major, but it's really anoying and makes me swear out loud every time I shoot it.

There could be a few things wrong here, as I've had this problem too. There are two spring and round-object thingies above where it is screwed on. These keep tension on the nozzle, if these are not present it will not select properly, and so the nozzle may be misaligned. Check the alignment. Failing that, your o-ring may not be in place. Failing that, There is a little piece of plastic that goes under the screw to add tension. Is this in place?

Everything is in place. What else could it be? I am really urinated off at it right now.

Does it leak really badly? Also, does the selector move or wobble while it's in place? I think on the 2700, you have to push down quite hard on the selector while you tighten the screw, so that might be your problem.

I fixed it. I resorted to putting in a bigger screw and way overtightening it. Strangely enough, it's now easy to miss a setting

When you say that it's easy to miss a setting, is the selector also harder/stiffer to turn with the bigger screw? If so, try loosening the screw a little bit, until it glides easier but doesn't leak. Then it'll feel more 'positive' when it clicks into place, so you shouldn't miss the settings anymore.

Actually, strangely enough it's looser, and I tightened it all the way. Weird because the screw is slightly longer and wider than the old one. Well, al least it doesn't leak anymore!
