UserID: 1 | Yeah, Geocities is not the best host. However, they are really even better than SSC's paid host when it comes to uptime!

UserID: 1 | Well, Angelfire is pretty bad, and Geocitie's ads aren't as bad as Angelfire's. Tripod gives you FTP and CGI, so it's the best of the big 3 hosts. The ads can be blocked anyway, even though it's against the TOS. A free host that I've heard is good it fateback.com, however, some people have problems signing up.

UserID: 1 | Fateback has unlimited bandwith, so you really can't get that problem with it. http://www.freewebspace.net/ I highly recommend that site. Join their forums, tell them what you need and they'll telll you the best host for your situation.
