UserID: 1347 |  Infinite Water Supply from River? Hello! Is it possible to use a soaker with a backpack hose connection minus the backpack? Then the other end of the hose could just hang freely, in a river or pool for instance? And you would never have to fill it? Or could it be modified in some way? Any ideas? Thanks! |

UserID: 1074 |  The one way that I can think of to use the CPS3000 or CPS3200 without the attached backpack would be to connect the backpack, fill the chamber, and then disconnect the backpack, carrying it as a backup would be fine, but you'd only get one chamber's worth of water (about 900ml). The hose on the 3000, 3200 is attached to the backpack, not the soaker, so there's no way to disconnect and use. There's no water feed cord coming from the soaker. There are guns that utilize the principle that you mentioned though, like the XP Pool Pumper Blaster and the XP Pool Pumper Cannon.

UserID: 1347 | But what would happen if you cut that hose? If you use the connection to connect to the gun, and the other end was in the water? I realize it would render the backpack useless then. Does it need pressure that it would get from the backpack? Thanks! |

UserID: 1 | Some backpacks get a little bit of pressure from the weight of the water, but most work on simple suction from the pump. Yes, the gun work work with the tube in a river. By the way, welcome to Super Soaker Central!

UserID: 320 | I know that the hose on the CPS 3200 and SS300 is removable on both ends. However, the CPS 3000's backpack hose is fixed to the back. To top it all off, my SS300's instruction manual recommended just attaching the hose for use in a pool. Quote:
The backpack on serves as a reservoir. The pump simply moves the water from it to the chamber, expanding it in CPS or compressing the air within it in air pressure. This is why you can load the gun without the backpack; it's only an input hose.
